Featured Projects

PowerCord is a Discord bot designed for powerlifters, enabling quick lookups of competing lifters and meets by name while showcasing top athletes globally. The data is drawn from OpenPowerlifting.org, the absolute authority for worldwide competition records and athlete rankings. Using OpenPowerlifting's officially provided CSV's, the data is processed into a PostgreSQL database to access via an internal C# API, with Discord.js handling user interactions.

This project is an open-source initiative that is currently in-development. Approaching its 1.0 release later this year, much of our progress is shaped by feedback from the OpenPowerlifting developers. The goal is making powerlifting data accessible and engaging in Discord.

EmoteStats was a React-based web dashboard for tracking Discord emote usage in real-time, helping server owners identify trends and make informed decisions on emote management. It visualized data with Highcharts through pie charts for percentage breakdowns, line charts for trends over time, and ranked lists from most to least used, allowing for effective pruning and refreshing of little used emotes and the preservation of most popular ones.

Scaled to handle over 2 million users across 1,000+ servers, it featured a Node.js backend with a PostgreSQL database on AWS. Though retired to focus on new endeavors, it was a great learning opportunity on advanced visualization tools and reached more communities than any project I've founded prior.

About Me

Hi, I'm Jessica Hart, a full-stack developer with extensive experience crafting scalable, accessible web applications for large enterprises and small businesses. From optimizing customer-facing UI workflows to building internal tools used company-wide, I've created systems impacting millions across finance, gaming, and automotive sectors. My expertise includes JavaScript front-end frameworks, Java, SQL, and more. I'm an open-source contributor (e.g. OpenPowerlifting) and founder of the projects above.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature and getting involved with wildlife conservation. I volunteer with raptor rehabilitation programs and parrot care groups, and I've helped out at events like the Iditarod. Frequent visitor of Alaska, I love heading out to photograph nature and animals. I also compete in powerlifting and keep up with some medieval groups, where it's a fun way to stay active and physically challenge myself!
